International DJ Excel The MixmasterJanuary 1996 to presentOriginally from Boston, Marcus Roberts aka "DJ Excel The Mixmaster" caught the Hiphop bug in the early 80's, he was a break-dancer, graffiti tagger, & rapper (then known as RCA).
He has remixed Beyonce's "Deja Vu", Sean Paul "Like Glue" (Atlantic Records), and Sasha feat Fatman Scoop "Dat Sexy Body"[Coca Cola Shape] (VP Records) plus so many Party breaks on AV8 records (Fatman Scoop's label). I worked at Badboy/Atlantic Records doing online promotions & club Promotions.
In 1990 he hosted a Hiphop show called "Another Def Jam" with DJ Audi on 90.3 FM WZBC Boston College Radio for two years which lead him to interview & meet Queen Latifah, Krs One, A Tribe Called Quest, MC Lyte, Kurtis Blow, Public Enemy, Nice & Smooth, DJ Premier, Guru, Jeru Da Damaja + many more of Hip hops elite.
Frustrated & wanting to be taken seriously, "DJ Excel The Mixmaster" moved to New York City in 1996 to pursue a career in the music industry as a Producer/Remixer.

DJ Excel The Mixmaster is respected & known all over the world for his Unbelievable tracks by top dj's from Funkmaster Flex, DJ Enuff, DJ Kut, to Kut Killer in Paris, to his mentor DJ Red Alert who really exposed Excel to the New York market by playing his remixes on his Radio show at HOT 97 FM.
FAST FORWARD! DJ Excel The Mixmaster has remixed Ne-yo's 'Because Of You" with Michael Jackson, Swizz Beatz Party Mix,( DJ JD collabo) "Deja Vu" by BEYONCE FEAT JAY-Z & JAM-MASTER JAY, CHRIS BROWN'S hit "Run It" & The PUSSY CAT DOLLS "Don't Cha" with DJ G Squared of The Kreators.
DJ Excel also remixed SEAN PAUL'S "Like Glue" on Atlantic Records & SASHA FEAT. FATMAN SCOOP "Coca Cola Shape" (Dat Sexy Body) on VP Records. He has over 100 or more party breaks & remixes from USHER, to PINK, to NAS to DESTINY'S CHILD in his catalog!!! His most famous work, "HOOK ME UP" an old-school party mix, has sold over 50,000 copies on vinyl and is considered a classic party break!
DJ Excel is currently promoting his latest club smash: Michael Jackson "Beat It" (DJ Sega Mad Decent Bmore Remix), "Donk Shaker Party Break" (Produced by DJ JD & DJ Omi), "Shot's Remix", and "Last Call Feat Amaze" (by DJ Pistolero).
